Community & Youth Safety Rules
1. Who may participate
Only users age 16+ may register. Users ages 16–17 are minors and have enhanced protections. Their accounts must not access financial selling/buying or payout functions during beta.
2. Creativity and explicit content
Original music that contains profanity or mature themes may be allowed if labeled Explicit. Sexually explicit images, pornography, sexual exploitation material, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, credible threats, extremist recruitment and illegal content are prohibited. Content involving sexual abuse of minors will be escalated to appropriate authorities where required.
3. Harassment and privacy
No bullying, hateful abuse, threats, doxxing, stalking, unwanted sexual contact, impersonation or publishing another person’s private information. Do not disclose a minor’s school, precise location, phone number or address.
4. Communication safeguards
Before public launch, LyricLab must prevent unsolicited adult-to-minor direct messaging and support block, report and review workflows. If the safeguards are not ready, disable messaging for minor accounts and disable or limit other risky social functions. Verified status does not exempt anyone from moderation.
5. Uploads and authenticity
Only upload content you have permission to share. Clearly label music as an original, authorized remix, cover or collaboration as applicable. Do not claim another creator’s identity, buy fake engagement, or present AI-generated vocals impersonating a real person without rights and consent.
6. Reports, appeals and emergencies
Report prohibited content or users through [IN-APP REPORT LINK] or [SAFETY EMAIL]. Include a URL and description but do not forward illegal images. We may remove, restrict or refer serious matters to authorities. Moderation appeals: [APPEALS EMAIL]. For immediate danger contact emergency services; LyricLab is not an emergency service.
7. Consequences
Actions range from warnings and edits to removal, feature limits and account termination depending on severity and repeat behavior. Copyright complaints follow our separate DMCA process.
