LyricLab

Terms of Service

DRAFT — NOT YET APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE. Replace all [BRACKETED PLACEHOLDERS], implement stated platform safeguards, and obtain review by qualified counsel.

1. Operator and acceptance

LyricLab (the “Platform”) is operated by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] (“LyricLab,” “we,” “us”). Contact: [SUPPORT EMAIL]; mailing address: [BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS]. By creating an account or using LyricLab, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and Copyright Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility: ages 16 and up

You must be at least 16 years old to register. You must provide accurate age information and may not misrepresent your age. Users aged 16–17 may use the free beta with age-appropriate safeguards. They cannot purchase or sell licenses, receive payouts, enter paid competitions, or sign binding commercial agreements through LyricLab. Where parental or guardian permission is required by applicable law for a minor’s use of the Platform, the minor must obtain it. We may request additional confirmation or suspend accounts when needed to protect users.

3. Accounts and security

Provide accurate registration information; keep login credentials secure; notify [SUPPORT EMAIL] of suspicious access. We may verify accounts and moderate profiles. Do not share accounts or impersonate others. A verified badge is not a guarantee of authorship, identity, quality or trustworthiness.

4. Beta service and fees

The public beta is free. Features may change, experience interruptions or be withdrawn. Premium benefits shown in beta do not establish ongoing entitlements. Any later paid plans, prices or payment obligations will be disclosed clearly and require separate affirmative enrollment; no automatic charge will arise solely from participation in this free beta.

5. Your content and license to operate

You keep whatever intellectual-property rights you lawfully hold in your original songs, beats, recordings, lyrics, images and other submissions (“User Content”). You grant LyricLab a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable only to hosting and delivery vendors, revocable upon removal subject to reasonable technical retention, license to host, store, reproduce, transcode, transmit, publicly perform and display your User Content as needed to operate, secure, deliver and promote content you choose to make public on the Platform. This is not a sale of your copyright. Do not upload content without all necessary rights, clearances, releases and consents.

6. Public content and private drafts

Publicly uploaded tracks, profiles and posts may be seen, shared or captured by others. Lyric drafts are intended to be private unless you explicitly publish them. Do not use LyricLab as your only backup. We will enforce reasonable access controls, but no online service can promise absolute security.

7. Marketplace and producer restrictions

During beta, beat pricing and checkout are demonstration features only and do not constitute a completed sale. Future actual transactions require separate checkout and license terms. Producers must own or control the rights they offer. “Exclusive” does not automatically mean transfer of copyright, transfer of the underlying composition, or termination of earlier leases.

8. Prohibited uses

Do not violate intellectual-property or privacy rights; upload stolen or leaked works; harass, threaten, exploit, groom or impersonate; post sexual exploitation material, pornography or nonconsensual intimate imagery; distribute malware; manipulate popularity metrics; or use the service for fraud or unlawful purposes. See the Community Guidelines for content rules.

9. Enforcement and appeals

We may remove content, reduce distribution, restrict features, suspend accounts or terminate access when reasonably warranted by violations or risk. We may preserve relevant records for investigation and legal compliance. Contact [APPEALS EMAIL] to appeal a moderation decision. Copyright disputes use the dedicated Copyright Policy.

10. Service availability and warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, monetization, discovery, storage durability or particular results. Nothing here limits nonwaivable consumer or privacy rights.

11. Liability and applicable law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, LyricLab is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from beta interruptions or user content. These Terms do not waive rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived. Governing law and dispute provisions must be reviewed and completed by counsel before public release: [JURISDICTION / DISPUTE TERMS TO BE APPROVED].

12. Changes and contact

We will post updates with a revised effective date and, when material, provide appropriate notice. Changes do not retroactively impose paid subscriptions. Questions: [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE].
